WINNIPEG – It’s hard to imagine the simple, pure, sound of a bat cracking a baseball on a sunny day in a small ball park as a luxury. But for many of Winnipeg’s most at-risk kids, family’s struggling to make ends meet, and other community service groups that is exactly what it is. On one perfect Sunday in August, through the efforts of B’nai Brith, 1,250 people had that luxury.
The event, B’nai Brith’s Afternoon With The Goldeyes, which marked its fourth anniversary this year, has quickly made it a classic summer tradition in Winnipeg for many in the city’s service community.
